Minor in Early Childhood Education (ECED)

Students may earn a minor in any program outside of their major by taking 9 credit hours in a single area plus 6 credit hours in any other education prefixes for a total of 15 credit hours. (e.g. 9 hours of ECED or ECSP plus 6 hours SPED). (CSED, CUED, ECED, ECSP, ELED, ESLP, ESOL, FOED, PSY, READ, SEED, SPED).

Note: Courses that require admission to Teacher Education or that have co-requisite courses with admission restrictions cannot be taken as part of a minor. Please work with your advisor or the College of Education to identify an appropriate pathway to your minor.
